Overview
A school management system covering students, staff, and communication for a modern institution.
The Challenge
The school was running students, staff, and parent communication across spreadsheets and message groups, which held together until enrolment grew. They needed a system that would:
- Hold student records in one place rather than several
- Let administrative staff use it without technical training
- Keep parents informed without the office fielding every question
- Handle the concentrated load of admissions and results periods
Our Solution
We built a school management system shaped around how the school actually operates, rather than adapting a generic product.
- Central student and staff records with role-based access
- Attendance and results recorded by teachers directly
- Parent-facing communication that reduces office phone traffic
- An interface staff can use after a short walkthrough
Key Features
Student records
Enrolment, class, and history in one authoritative place.
Attendance tracking
Recorded by teachers at the point it happens, not transcribed later.
Results management
Entry, review, and reporting handled inside the system.
Role-based access
Teachers, administrators, and leadership each see only what they should.
Parent communication
Announcements and updates reaching families without a phone call.
Design Highlights
- 1
Designed for non-technical staff
The people using this daily are teachers and administrators, so nothing assumes prior software familiarity.
- 2
Fewest steps for daily tasks
Attendance and results entry happen constantly, so those paths are the shortest in the system.
- 3
Clear permission boundaries
Student data is sensitive; who can see what is explicit rather than implied.
The Results
The system is in daily use across the school. Measured impact will be recorded here once assessed.
